I love Pure Barre, Perrysburg!! I started at Pure Barre last September and it has become my favorite of all things I do. I call it my "healthy obsession". The instructors are amazing! They gently guide and support you through the moves so that your lift, tone, burn experience creates the greatest value.
I took my first Pure Barre class in May of 2022 and I have been hooked ever since. If you are looking for something low impact that allows you to improve your strength and tone, look no further.
Pure Barre is the best addition to our community! The combination of lifting and toning and burning as well as using your own resistance in your body is both challenging physically and mentally. I am so excited every day to get to attend class. All of the instructors and fellow clients are very refreshing.
I love Pure Barre! I am not athletic and have the goal to lose 100 pounds. I was initially intimidated by the thought of trying a class. The culture that has been created at both pure barre locations is phenomenal! The instructors are awesome—so genuinely interested in helping clients reach their goals and supportive!!
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
