From the reviews
I started Pure Barre Park Ridge in 2019 and classes helped me strengthen my core and exercise. After 650 classes, I left PB in Oct 2021 to try other gym options. I went to 2-other studios and got hurt several times due to improper format and techniques.
I have been a dedicated member of this amazing studio for two years, and I am thrilled to have recently committed to another year. My routine of going there every morning and many evenings has yielded fantastic results. Even my husband notices people turning their heads when we walk down the street!
I absolutely love Pure Barre Park Ridge! It’s the best, most challenging workout I have done and I can’t imagine doing it with another group of people. The instructors are wonderful, there are plenty of class options and Britt, Jackie, and Monica have really improved the studio tremendously.
I looooove Pure Barre Park Ridge! Just celebrated my one-year anniversary and I am almost at 250 classes! Why do I keep coming back? Because it's challenging but doable. It goes by really fast! There are SO many classes and locations to choose from... there is a class every day that fits into my schedule.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
