From the reviews
I thought I was just trying a free class, but it turns out I joined a community. I fell in love right away and feel like these workouts were absolutely manageable with so many modifications and so interesting with each instructor it’s never repetitive or mundane.
Everything! I love the different class options, the variety of instructors (and their deep level of expertise), and I LOVE the Pure Barre community. I had back surgery about 7 years ago so I do have some limitations on what I can do.
I absolutely love the workouts and the variety of formats! More than that I love the teachers and the community! When I first started Pure Barre about 3 years ago I was a runner (still am) and shortly after joining I injured my hip causing a tear and stress fracture.

Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
