From the reviews
Barre3 East Cobb is so much more than a place to exercise - it is a community! I have been a member for 6+ years and that’s the longest I have done any type of workout consistently. The instructors know your name and are all so friendly, encouraging, and motivating!
Can’t beat the total body work out. The vibe of the studio is happy and upbeat. Family feeling. Highly recommend!
The best workout is one that inspires you to stick with it. This studio offers a serious workout that's adaptable to your level (you can be a total newbie to barre - it's not a problem), and it's a lovely community on top of that. Every instructor is fantastic, welcoming, and encouraging.
I have to admit that after studying ballet since l was six and taking Barre in New York l had high expectations. Three instructors at this studio did jumping jacks or high impact knee movements which l found to be bizarre for a barre studio. I contacted the owner by email about my concerns but didn't get a reply.
Your first barre class at barre3
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
