I love the music, the instructors, the positive atmosphere, and the great workouts! But what truly sets PB apart for me is the rhythm, the synchrony, and those amazing beats. It’s never a boring workout—it's fun, challenging, and keeps me coming back for more.
Joining Pure Barre Lawrence is one of the best decisions I have made for myself! I struggled for years with on and off exercise and this is the first time I have been able to stick to a workout. I started with a free class last December and quickly became a lifestyle member.
My main goal joining Pure Barre was to gain more flexibility since I am a runner. After being apart of Pure Barre for 4 years, I feel that I have gained so much from this group. Not only a challenging but rewarding workout, but also a home away from home.
Absolutely love my Pure Barre family! The trainers/instructors are top notch. The community of clients is amazing! Everyone is encouraging snd actually want to be there! Cool, upbeat music! Fun events and awesome swag! I've belonged to a lot of gyms and other fitness programs and Pure Barre is my all time favorite!
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
