From the reviews
I have taken almost 700 classes in almost 3 years and I still LOVE Pure Barre Kingwood!! This Pure Barre location keeps getting better and better! Their staff is friendly and welcoming, taking time to get to know each member personally and helping each person get their best workout.
I’ve never really committed to a gym membership just because half the time I give up or don’t know what I’m doing but pure barre has exceeded my expectations with fitness and workouts. I enjoy working out with the ladies and the instructors as so kind and motivating. It’s really made me feel more confident in myself
I’ve taken two full Pure Barre classes plus the introductory one, and after my first full class, I decided to sign up for the three-month unlimited membership to test it out—especially since the membership ends just before summer.
If you’re hesitant about trying out barre just do it!! I had been curious about incorporating another method of working out and tried their free class and loved it from the start with how sweet everyone was from the start!
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
