I am so grateful I found Pure Barre!! Martha has been so kind and so motivating. I love/hate taking Miley’s classes 😂 she really gets you to push past your limits! She always helps me get into the proper form and explains how to do each move clearly! I love all of the instructors here.

Pure Barre has truly CHANGED MY LIFE! I struggled with chronic back pain for years—doctors couldn’t pinpoint the cause and were ready to put me on pain medication. Thankfully, I discovered Pure Barre just in time. Since joining, my back pain has completely disappeared, and I’m stronger and fitter than ever.

I have been taking PB for the last few years at different studios and I always LOVE taking Jalee’s classes! She explains everything really well (so it’s extra great if you’re new to PB) and will help you if you need it. The pace of her classes are always good too. The studio is clean & the staff are all nice.

I started at Pure Barre a little over a year ago and I couldn’t be any happier with the decision that I made with joining. I was only taking foundations and classic up until a few months ago. Empower is my new fav! *thanks to Jess H. & Jess K. for pushing me to do it* I loved taking Jess K’s class (before she moved).

Your first barre class at Pure Barre

New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.

Barre is low-impact, so it suits most bodies and fitness levels — but if you're pregnant or working around an injury, check with a doctor and let your instructor know so they can offer modifications.
