I love this place! The teachers are all really great and always offer options, which I very much appreciate! Many of them (maybe all) have dance training. This makes them so graceful and easy to watch. I envy their pointed toes! Everyone is very professional, encouraging and friendly. I highly recommend this studio!
PBGV is the best studio to get a highly effective workout while also being surrounded by positive people. Everyone is so welcoming. The front desk and teachers really make it a point to get to know the members.
I have been taking Pure Barre for 9 years and absolutely love it. I have always been active, playing competitive tennis from childhood through college, but nothing has kept me as fit as Pure Barre—the technique is so insanely effective and fun.
This truly is my home away from home!! I love the staff, instructors, and community. Starting Pure Barre 7 years ago has been the best decision I’ve ever made. The classes remain challenging and it’s refreshing to take a group fitness class where the instructor dedicates their attention to help me perfect my form and…
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
