I’m a beginner at working out and at barre, and although the class was challenging, it was super fun! Everyone was so kind and seemed to know each other - it really felt like a little family. The studio is clean, and the equipment definitely made me feel the burn (in a good way).
The technique, the Flower Mound team, the clients, the music ....I love everything about this studio. I took class almost throughout my entire 2nd pregnancy and it without a doubt kept me physically and mentally strong. My recovery after delivery was easier and I believe PB is a huge reason for this.
I’ve been attending Pure Barre for about 4 years now and I absolutely love it. It is an amazing work out and a wonderful community. I notice such a difference in my energy level and strength when I attend regularly.
I have never been a fan of any kind of exercise, but I love Pure Barre! The owner and all the instructors are so friendly and encouraging. I've been taking classes 3 days a week for almost 3 months and already see significant changes in my body. It's so worth the investment in time and money!
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
