From the reviews
I am so thankful to be part of Pure Barre Encino. For years I had attended the Beverly Hills location and was deeply missing it after moving. I can say with total honesty that PB Encino has completely filled that void!
I love Pure Barre Encino! All the teachers and staff are very nice and welcoming. There are a few different class formats that you can choose from. All of them are challenging and also rewarding.
I love EVERYTHING about Pure Barre Encino!!! First, I must say that I have never loved indoor exercise. I love being in nature, hiking and connecting with the earth. That was busted when I joined. The owner, teachers, classes, COMMUNITY...WOW. I feel safe, supported and engaged.
I joined Pure Barre Encino 6 months postpartum, desperate for some me time and self care. I gained that me time, but I’ve stayed for the amazing instructors and community that make every tuck, add on, or surprise plank manageable.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
