From the reviews
Pure Barre Elm Grove is an amazing, body positive place to sweat it out! All the instructors are absolutely lovely and I always leave happier than I came in and sore in the best way.
I have just started going to Pure Barre Elm Grove within the last month. I had never done a barre class prior. Everyone at PBEG has been so incredibly kind and welcoming and just overall helpful before, during, and after classes. The classes are fun but challenging. You do not need to worry about being new.
I have been going to Pure Barre for about a month, once a week. At first I just wanted to try it because I wanted to see if I would like it but since my first visit, I have been back every week. The class is challenging, fun, upbeat, and helps every muscle in my body to become stronger and stronger.
Pure Barre is not only a great workout but also a very friendly and inviting place. I feel the burn in places that I never knew had muscles! All of the instructors are amazing! Always welcoming with big smiles! They will help correct form and are very knowledgeable of the workouts.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
