From the reviews
I'd been running and doing yoga for years when I switched over to Pure Barre. PB is great because I've really seen results and felt myself get stronger. The instructors do a great job of balancing correcting your form with giving praise. The sense of community is awesome.
Love love love! Great friendly instructors. Well paced. I get what I’m coming for. Word to the wise: “on time” is not actually on time. You have to show up early to set up equipment. Showing up at class start time will not permit enough set up time so you will NOT be allowed into the class even if you are on the dot.
My favorite place to work out. The instructors are very friendly. The environment is really motivating and will get you through the classes. They commonly have challenges going on your payed members that will motivate you to go to class more often. Highly recommend
I had signed up for the free trial class for a reason (no longer relevant), but it was cancelled. A few days after that cancelled class, they contacted me about how the class went. This was very unlike me, but I told them the truth, and I was disappointed since I had a friend rave about how great Pure Barre was.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
