From the reviews
Pure Barre Addison is an amazing studio & community of women! I’ve been taking classes regularly for the past year. I’ve lost 35 pounds & changed the shape of my body, becoming leaner & stronger.
Pure Barre Addison is an amazing place. It’s more than a workout place - it’s a place to make friends and challenge yourself mentally as well as physically. After 300+ classes, I have been transformed! Better than any workout I’ve tried.
I've been to many different Pure Barre locations over the years, and this studio has been one of my favorites! You can tell the owner really cares about her clients. While recovering from an injury, she took the time to make sure I had any modifications I would need for class to make it the most effective.
I joined Pure Barre Addison after seeing ads for the studio on Instagram. I’d been looking for a new exercise class or group to join and had never done barre before, so i was eager to try it out! I’m very glad I did. I now love barre!
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
