I took my first barre class at Pure Barre West Concord and I was immediately obsessed! I was never a big fan of working out but Pure Barre has changed that for me, I now go 5x a week. This studio has the best vibes, the instructors are great, knowledgeable and make every class fun and different.
Everyone in West Concord is so friendly and I was so happy to be in Julia’s class!! She has the best energy and went out of her way to welcome me to my first class🥰 I can’t wait to get to another Classic class!💪🏻 Highly recommend the positive vibes and great class👍🏻
Pure Barre is an amazing fitness program. I have been doing it for 8 years, and will be for the rest of my life. I am the strongest and fittest in my life at 57 and look forward to building on that strength, flexibility and body confidence.

Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
