I cannot say enough great things about Pure Barre Kenwood! The workouts are always challenging in the best way, and the entire team makes you feel so welcome from the moment you walk in.
The best workout I have EVER had- day by day. The instructors are so friendly and encourage you throughout class. They are there to help and it truly shows. No matter how tough the workout is that day, you always want to stay after and talk to the amazing staff there.
I've been taking classes at Pure Barre Kenwood for several years. PBK remains my favorite place to workout and for good reason. Anna, the owner, is a natural at bringing people together and encouraging them to be their best while pushing their limits in a healthy way.

Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
