From the reviews
Rejoining Pure Barre South Loop in February after a year and a half away was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I’m now in the best shape of my life — physically, mentally, and emotionally — and I owe so much of that to this incredible studio.
I’m a little over 50 classes in at this Pure Barre location, and I can wholeheartedly say that Barre has been the best form of workout for me. Each class format is challenging in its own way, and over the past few months I’ve noticed a huge improvement in my strength and endurance.
Great studio with truly friendly and amazing owner and instructors and a variety of classes. I discovered Pure Barre through an ad online and signed up for a free class to try it out.
Pure Barre South Loop not only offers a top notch full body workout for people of all body types, ages and abilities, the team and instructors that work there are extremely knowledgable, caring, kind, supportive, warm, friendly and enthusiastic!!
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
