From the reviews
Pure Barre Myers Park has the BEST instructors! I've been to 7 Pure Barre studios across the US and these teachers are top notch. Catherine, Abby, Taylor, Amanda, Anessa, Katie, Lizzy... They always have a great attitude and bring the perfect energy to motivate and challenge you during class.
I’ve been going to this studio since they opened in 2010. That speaks volumes. I’ve been to other studios(in Charlotte AND other states) and this one is by far the best. The owner is the best and always finds the most skilled teachers. It’s ever-changing and I never tire of it.
Love the Charlotte studio! Everyone is so welcoming + helpful. I always leave feeling better than I did walking in—such a great workout!
Pure Barre is an incredible studio that I highly recommend to anyone looking to get in shape and have a great time doing it. The studio offers a unique workout experience that combines elements of ballet, pilates, and yoga to create a truly invigorating and challenging routine.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
