Pure Barre is a low impact workout that also makes you feel the burn. After I gave it a try, it quickly became my jam. I feel stronger than I have in years and I definitely notice when I’m not able to go as frequently. The studio is clean and the community is super friendly and welcoming.
Pure Barre offers a low-impact, yet highly effective, workout that works for all body types. I have gotten so much stronger since training at Pure Barre Cedar Rapids. I was able to strengthen my knee before surgery and my recovery from knee replacement went so much quicker. My physical therapist was amazed.
I finally found time in my schedule to add pure barre on my workout routine. I took the free class knowing I’d like to try the month and see what happens. I did 8 class pack and I got great definition. I mean it’s hard work ladies but worth it. I did unlimited this month I’m loving adding it to my workouts.

New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
