Sad to be leaving! I will be moving so I won't be going to this studio anymore. That being said, I was unsure at first whether or not I would enjoy Pure Barre, but realized that I really loved the encouragement and positivity from instructors.
Pure Barre Buckhead is the best barre studio around! It’s an amazing workout with awesome teachers. There are several class formats to match whatever you’re looking for. The studio is welcoming and the classes are always challenging and fun. I’ve been taking classes here for about a year, going several times a week.
Such a great full body workout! I love the diversity of all ages at both this studio as well as the Chastain studio. The owner is so wonderful and great customer service on the business end as well!
I initially hesitated to join Pure Barre because I thought it was only for women, but I quickly realized that I was wrong—it's truly a workout for everyone. I recently returned to Pure Barre Buckhead Location, after a two-year break and was amazed at how much I missed it.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
