From the reviews

I would highly recommend Pure Barre - Appleton to anyone looking for a strong community and fulfilling workout! I am someone who thoroughly enjoys group settings and I often struggle with motivating myself to go to a gym when I'm the only one holding myself accountable.

This is the review you need to read if you are thinking about Pure Barre: I started with 8 classes a month, but quickly switched to unlimited with a promotion they had in January. I am now just over 3 months in, going 3-4 times a week and am the strongest I've ever been in my life.

★★★★★ — Jenn, Mar 2025

I grew up as an athlete, and because of that, typical workouts never really worked for me. I missed the structure, intensity, and mind-body connection that came with organized sports. I tried at-home workouts and multiple gym memberships, but nothing ever stuck.

★★★★★ — Plain, Jan 2026

Pure Barre has welcomed me with a positive, respectful, and encouraging environment. The atmosphere is supportive-not overly intense. The instructors are highly knowledgeable. They create a space where you feel motivated and challenged, but never overwhelmed. Beyond the workout itself, the boutique area is a standout!

Your first barre class at Pure Barre

New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.

Barre is low-impact, so it suits most bodies and fitness levels — but if you're pregnant or working around an injury, check with a doctor and let your instructor know so they can offer modifications.
