From the reviews
The best!! I have been to other studios in the area and none compare to my experience at Precision. From the warm welcoming environment provided by the staff to a wonderful variety of workouts, I have finally found my Pilates home! So excited that they are opening a 3rd studio in Newburyport!
I am absolutely obsessed with my classes at Precision Pilates. I’ve been a member for approximately 8 years and over the period of this time I’ve seen dramatic changes in my strength, flexibility and overall fitness. I highly recommend Precision. Every class and every instructor is amazing!
Everyone should do Pilates! Nancy and Liz are remarkable teachers and leaders, and Precision is fantastic. You can’t imagine the transformation you will see and feel in your body and soul in just a few months— and others will notice too.
The Precision Pilates team is the best! I have been taking classes with Nancy and Liz for 12 years and could not recommend them enough. They are so knowledgeable and always give the best workout.
Your first barre class at Precision Pilates
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
