Amazing place for moms! Community, pumped up fitness classes, the best kids music classes, and caring childcare staff. So glad to be a part of this community. 💙
The Mom’s Village has been a such a lifesaver for our family. When we first started everyone made me feel incredibly welcome, comforted and safe which was so important to me as it was my first time bringing my son to childcare in this pandemic.
From the second I walked in, everyone was so welcoming and friendly and informative. I was nervous about coming and doing a class but it was such a nice experience. From the front desk, to the ladies in the locker room to my amazing barre instructor, I felt right at home!
It is so much more than a gym! I’ve been going for over a year and it’s the community Moms look for and need. Everyone just gets it. The classes are challenging and really fun. The instructors are the next level talented. As far as the childcare staff goes, my children think they’re family.
Your first barre class at A Mom's Village
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
