From the reviews
As someone who’s had 4 C-sections and hadn’t worked out in years, walking into my first Pilates Method class was honestly terrifying. I was so nervous and so out of my comfort zone, but I can genuinely say every single instructor I’ve taken a class with has gone out of their way to make me feel comfortable, supported,…
I recently took my first class at Pilates Method, and it was easily one of the best studios I have ever visited. As someone who has done reformer Pilates at other places before, I was thoroughly impressed. The studio is incredibly clean, modern, and aesthetically pleasing. I’m looking forward to my next class!!
I’ve been to many Pilates studios and this one is next level! The instructors are warm, welcoming, and modify the class to your needs. The atmosphere is beautiful! I will definitely be taking more classes here. Highly recommend.
Love this studio! I just completed my 3rd class and feel so comfortable and welcomed. Each instructor has been great, the classes are great for all levels, the studio is beautiful!
Your first barre class at Pilates Method & Barre Noir
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
