From the reviews
Love coming here! The staff and instructors are all so friendly and know you by name. Classes offered are versatile and even the same class is different one session to another, which keeps it interesting. I’ve been going here for over a year and still feel challenged differently in every class.
Best fitness gem in south Brooklyn! The facilities are clean and inviting, with lockers, changing room, bathroom and even shower - and towels provided. You will definitely need them because the workouts don’t disappoint!
I started working out at Physique BK around two months ago and I can’t say better things about my experience! The team is so warm and helpful, the facility is clean and the classes are awesome! The teachers take the time to get to know you and know each member by name.
I’ve been coming here since August 2024. Everyone from front staff to instructors is nice and welcoming. The facility is clean. The workouts can be challenging, but the instructors are encouraging and offer modifications as needed.
Your first barre class at Physique BK
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
