From the reviews
My experience at Nooma has been nothing short of spectacular. What differentiates Nooma is the type of workout experience that they offer. The combination of yoga, weights, and cardio combined with a 95+ degree workout room results in a unique and exceptional workout experience with a high calorie burn.
Went to Strength Sculpt. It’s Sort of a hybrid of CorePower’s Yoga Sculpt with more Pilates type abs. I found the class to be challenging in a good way (not like a type 2 - trauma bond with you neighbor whom you are sweating on type of way.
The energy is awesome! I go at 5:30 am so that’s saying something! I’m not a runner so I have never experienced a “runner’s high” but that is the best way to describe how you feel after a nooma class.
Good workout, and I appreciate that the mats are already put out for the clients. I appreciate that you don’t have to bring your own mat or towel. Enjoyed the music, large room and mirrors, and dark lighting. I will return! However, in my opinion there should be a no phone policy in studio rooms.
Your first barre class at nooma
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
