This place is wonderful! Not your traditional fitness center, this is totally a wellness center that sets you up to succeed. I love that you can take barre, yoga, strength and cycling classes so you never get bored! Also the red light therapy sauna and cold lounge are amazing for aches and pains.
I have been going to MFS for a few years and I love all the classes I’ve tried, it helped so much with my mental and physical health, and the last year I am much more focused that I am even thinking of going on an unlimited pass bc of how much I enjoy, my current plan is 8 classes and I feel like they are not enough…
Love this place- totally transformed my health. Prior to joining I was solely a runner (half marathons) and mistakenly thought I was in shape. I started taking yoga classes to improve my running but now I’m more addicted to yoga!
I started classes after I was diagnosed with frozen shoulder. I have been wanting to be active again for a long time, but life happens. A friend invited me to a hot pilates class and I was like, this is what I have been looking for! I love the classes with Aunnie and Lori!
Your first barre class at MyFitness Suites
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
