This gorgeous new yoga studio offers power yoga, barre and HIIT/sculpt classes. If you love yoga try this studio and take your practice places you never thought it could go. If you don't love yoga throw out all of your ideas of what you think yoga should be and give it a try.
The Active Recovery Yoga class was lovely. Sarah is an amazing instructor. The heat scared me at first and was absolutely soothing. The live music provided by Sarah's husband was fantastic. If I lived there I would make your studio my home studio. My friend was really surprised how much he enjoyed it.
As I am working through some foot issues and weight loss I have LOVED coming to this studio to do what I am able to do. No judgement. ONLY support! From the other members to the yogis, hands down the best place for letting go and breathing deeply.
We have attended for years and love the infrared sauna yoga and barre classes! The teachers are all knowledgeable and personable. Here recently child classes have been added. We have enjoyed bringing our children that much more!
Your first barre class at Ginkgo Yoga & Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
