From the reviews

Hands down best place to workout in a group atmosphere! All instructors have been nothing but kind and welcoming and are able to cater workouts with each class to individual/groups needs when possible. I’ve been coming to BU since July and plan to continue for a looong time!

It's hard to put into words what Barre Unlimited has done for me. After having two babies in two years, my body had taken a toll. My abs were probably the most extremely damaged and I couldn't even use them to get out of bed.

★★★★★ — Sara, Mar 2021

Barre Unlimited has been my home away from home for the past 3 years. I absolutely love this place! All the instructors are amazing, as well as the members! This barre studio is the most welcoming fitness facility I’ve ever been. The studio is so cute as well!

Barre Unlimited in incredible. Throughout the years I have participated in several other companies, classes, and program, but nothing comes to BU. The staff are so kind, fun, knowledgeable, and encouraging.

Your first barre class at Barre Unlimited

New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.

Barre is low-impact, so it suits most bodies and fitness levels — but if you're pregnant or working around an injury, check with a doctor and let your instructor know so they can offer modifications.
