Love, love, love!! It's always been so hard for me to stay motivated in this type of environment or feel comfortable for that matter.. but here at Elev8 fitness that's not the case. I don't feel uncomfortable or embarrassed at all.

Tried my first (free) class last week and I am impressed by the professionalism and courtesy of the staff. They are very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful studio as well. Did not feel pressured to join, which was a nice plus.

What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
