From the reviews
I love Pure Barre! I’ve never seen results from any other type of workout like I have this. Both the East Brainerd and Northshore are awesome. They have the best instructors who will teach you proper form and encourage you to push yourself
I love Pure Barre EB! The community is warm and friendly and I always enjoy coming here. No class is the same and all the instructors are great!
I LOVE Pure Barre! I have been coming for close to a year and a half now, and I am HOOKED! I love the classes and the variety that is provided, but I ADORE the community of women that I have met and the friends that I have made! I’ve noticed a lot of changes in my body that are for the better.
Pure Barre is a great workout. I look forward to each class and no two classes are the same. The instructors are very positive and encouraging. I have participated in over 550 classes and continue to be challenged each time, but the exercises can also be modified for injuries or ability level.
Your first barre class at Pure Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
