From the reviews
Electric Pilates is the perfect small studio. I don’t feel lost in the numbers like when attending a large gym studio. I love that the sculpt class is at a level to challenge me, I have many years experience exercising, and it would be easy enough for a beginner at the same time.
I have been new to barre and Pilates in general. Chose to give it a try after hearing such amazing things, mind you I was pregnant. And I mean PREGNANT. Iykyk. Kayla has been nothing but amazing with open arms and extremely welcoming , modifying moves to give me the best experience.
I am new to Pilates and couldn’t be happier with my experience. The instructors are warm, welcoming, and make beginners feel comfortable from the first session. They’re patient, supportive, and kindly explain each movement so I understand proper form.
Kayla is such an amazing instructor, everyday is something new! No matter your experience she always has modifications and is still able to challenge experienced members. Love the child friendly studio too. It has turned into a daily part of my life!
Your first barre class at Electric Pilates & Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
