From the reviews
I love this studio! I was an athlete my whole life and once college basketball ended, I felt like I needed to do HIIT workouts and strength training to stay in shape in my 20s. I’ve been going to Core Pilates Barre for six months and feel better than I ever have with any other type of workout.
Core Pilates Barre is literally my home away from home! The studio is absolutely beautiful and the classes help me support a balance in my workout routine! From Barre to Yoga to Pilates…all of the classes are a healthy mix of challenge and fun!
I absolutely love Core Pilates Barre Studio! I’ve taken Heidi’s Saturday morning Barre class which was an awesome workout, and a great way to start my weekend. I also recently attended their first reiki-infused yoga class held by Kelley and Michelle, and it was truly magical.
I felt compelled to right this review for Heidi this morning. She is incredibly special and her willingness to work with me one on one has put my apprehension and fear about trying it at bay.
Your first barre class at Core Pilates Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
