From the reviews
I just love coming to Carmel Barre. I can truly say that the classes and the positive environment have truly changed the condition of my health and my life too. I love the stretching, working with weights, pushups, planks, Abdominal work, Barre Work, interspersed with more stretching, then glute work, before going…
I have been going to Carmel Barre for more than a year and have absolutely loved it! The teachers keep classes fun while pushing you a little more every time. Barre, Piyo, Zumba Pilates, and Yoga have made me feel stronger both physically and mentally than ever before.
Always get a great and fun workout at CarmelBarre. Classes are taught by knowledgeable and trusted instructors. They are there to motivate and assist their clients, but the clients must be willing to do the sequences and isometric holds to get and feel results.
So glad to get a class with you on line...it had been too long!!! What a gift, love my Carmel Barre classes. Great job!Thank you,Marilyn
Your first barre class at Carmel Barre
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
