From the reviews
I can’t say enough good things about Body Sculpt Barre Perkins Rowe. The community is amazing, the workouts are next level and for any age range, and the instructors are outstanding! They work with you through pregnancies, injuries, getting back into a workout routine, etc.
As someone who is socially anxious; I cannot recommend BSB enough. The instructors have all been friendly, supportive and motivating without being pushy or critical. I love walking into the studio before work, being greeted with a smile and not have to worry about planning a workout.
I highly recommend this studio and program. On my first day in-studio, I was greeted with a smile and enthusiasm, despite feeling anxiety about returning to a studio two years after having a baby. In full transparency, I am a fitness addict.
I went for the first time the other day and I had an instructor named Lindsay. I was super nervous for my first class and didn’t really know what to expect. She took the time at the beginning of the class to show me around the place and make sure I knew where everything was so that by the time class started, I was…
Your first barre class at Body Sculpt Barre Baton Rouge
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
