From the reviews
I have been taking classes regularly since Barre3 Baton Rouge opened , almost 3 years ago! The decision to join this amazing community was one of the best I’ve ever made for myself. The workout is full body, challenging.
I was wandering around in the world, knowing I needed to workout but dreading the moments leading up to my workouts UNTIL I found Barre 3!! Barre 3 is not only a physical workout, but a mind reset. I look forward to working out and am so thankful for Barre 3 Batom Rouge.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed taking classes at barre3 the last 6 months. It’s made me like working out for the first time in my life. I feel stronger than ever and am so grateful for the support of the incredible instructors.
I love that my muscles can get a deep workout, but there’s modifications throughout so that my joints are taken care of. It’s also nice to walk into an exercise studio where the instructors have taken the time to know your name!
Your first barre class at barre3
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
