From the reviews
I have recently started taking classes at barre3 and I love it! The studio is super clean, instructors and staff are very welcoming and the vibes are great. During each workout the instructor will often suggest different modifications so that you can do what feels right for your body.
Barre3. My first review for them was in 2015, when they opened. I came for a Yelp event and I’m proud to say I’ve been a regular since then. Now, I’m not someone who sticks with a particular workout regimen, gyms are not my style. However, Barre3 is different.
I love this studio! They always have some sort of deal happening, I don't have children but they have child care, they have showers, and my favorite part is that a lot of the instructors provide so much information during workouts.
I wrote this review when I was a client of Barre3 "I love the upbeat atmosphere of Barre3. Mel was my instructor and the combination of the fun music and her high energy kept me motivated to keep pushing my body forward. Overall the workout was great and I could feel it days afterward, will definitely be going back!
Your first barre class at barre3
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
