From the reviews

I recently joined this barre studio and I’m honestly so impressed already! After just a few weeks, I can both see and feel a difference in my strength and overall tone. The workouts are challenging in the best way, but still gentle on my body…which has made it easy to stay consistent.

I LOVE Barre3 North Forsyth!! I have been going since February and I see so much change already in my body and energy. The owner, Annie, is awesome and very personable! I love taking her classes when she teaches cause she encourages you and at the same time makes you want to push yourself more.

★★★★★ — Tonya, Jun 2026

This is the best workout I’ve ever had. I’ve found my happy place and my people. I intended to sign up for 10 classes a month but ended up doing unlimited because I was addicted after my first class. Barre 3 combines it all for the perfect workout. It challenges me each time and I walk out feeling stronger.

Your first barre class at barre3

New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.

Barre is low-impact, so it suits most bodies and fitness levels — but if you're pregnant or working around an injury, check with a doctor and let your instructor know so they can offer modifications.
