From the reviews
As someone who has struggled with weight my entire life, I have never been able to find a workout routine I could stick too. That was until I walked into barre3. From my first class, I was instantly welcomed by not only the staff but others in the class.
Could not be more grateful for the fact that I joined Barre3 Blue Bell in February!! From my very first class, I felt welcomed and that I was capable. I have enjoyed each and every instructor that I’ve taken class with and always leave feeling refreshed and strong, both mentally and physically.
I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis of the right hip in late 2023. I've had 2 steroid injections and intense PT that cost me $130/ session three times a week for couple of months. Unfortunately none of those remedies worked for me.
After over 5 years of taking a long break from exercising due to having kids, telling myself I had no time to work out, and making all of the excuses, the day after my 41st birthday I decided to try barre-3.
Your first barre class at barre3
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
