From the reviews
I am so happy that I joined Barre3 in Berwyn. Everyone there is so incredibly nice and welcoming, to the instructors, front desk, owner and Barre3 members. I used to do at home workouts on my Peloton, but going to the Barre3 studio has completely changed my motivation and confidence.
I have done Barre before, however this was the best Barre class I have ever been to, and definitely in the top 5 of fitness classes I have ever been to, and I say that as a registered yoga teacher, and someone who works out 6 days a week.
I am a big fan of Barre3, and the Berwyn studio is no exception. From the extremely clean, nice-smelling lobby, locker room, and studio, to the friendliness and helpful nature of the staff and instructors, you really can't go wrong with this studio. The workout is gentle but still gets your heart rate up.
Barre3 in Berwyn is great. Everyone is so friendly. I got the 2 week membership while home for the holidays and went everyday. The staff go above and beyond to make new members feel welcome. They showed me around the studio when I got there and gave me tips on where to stand in the studio for my first class.
Your first barre class at barre3
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
