From the reviews
The workout and encouragement provided by the whole team at Barre Ripple is fabulous. This is the perfect place to build strength and flexibility all while protecting your joints and feeling really encouraged.
I LOVE this studio! The space itself, as well as the studio offerings, are a dream. But the real magic has been created by the owner, Ellen! She has built a very real community over the last five years and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to share my sound baths here.
I cannot say enough good things about Ellen and Team Barre Ripple - they are simply the BEST! I have been a part of this amazing fitness community for over a year now, and I have never been more motivated and inspired to reach my fitness goals.
Barre Ripple is the best gym/fitness studio I have ever been a member of. I swim and run primarily, but a friend recommended this studio many years ago for strength training and it is phenomenal. I started with a single Sunday morning class and am now taking 3-4 classes there a week.
Your first barre class at Barre Ripple (previously The Dailey Method)
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
