I’ve been going to this new barre studio for about four months now, and I seriously can’t get enough of it! The vibe is always so welcoming and fun, and the instructors are amazing—they really know how to push you while still making it feel totally doable.
I absolutely love Barre & Co. Kendall's workouts are always challenging and I leave feeling so good about myself. It doesn’t matter if I can do all the movements perfectly or not because she always provides great scaling options and empowers us to go at our own pace.
This place is amazing! I was nervous at first but fell in love with it quickly! The classes are motivating, empowering, and exciting! I used to go to the gym but this is far more invigorating! Anytime I need help, Kendall is right there to help me and give me pointers or a modification if need be.
I have had such a great experience at Barre and Company. I am always excited to go and have a fun time when I am there. The instructor is the best and is really knowledgeable about the class. She offers alternative moves which I found helpful when I had an injury.
Your first barre class at Barre & Company
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
