I just took my first barre class this morning with Jen....it was fantastic!! I have already signed up for 6 more classes. Don’t get me wrong, it was a tough work out but Jen was so good about watching my form and helping with the positions.
I just started taking barre classes here last week, and it has been so much fun! It is such an amazing laid back environment while also getting an awesome workout in. Every instructor I met has been fantastic, and you can tell is just happy you are there!
Love this place.. Never even knew what a Barre class was.. Bought a voucher on Groupon to try it and I loved it. Now I'm a member. My arms and legs are getting very toned..I also like that it's not like a gym..
Barre 11 has been absolutely incredible. The owner Cassey is the absolute sweetest and is a phenomenal instructor as well as all of the other instructors. I love the variety of classes and highly recommend trying them all. Once you give it a try you won’t want to go anywhere else!
Your first barre class at Barre 11 Fitness
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
