It is very large inside with lots of activities to keep the kiddos busy. I've brought my kids here for birthday parties and they do have private party rooms. My daughter started beginners gymnastics and beginners dance earlier this year. Every single coach has been nothing but encouraging, uplifting and been a blessing in our lives. My daughter began her classes with separation anxiety and is now stress free and full of joy. She admires her coaches and looks up to them!!!

I especially appreciate having options for boys that they really enjoy and that aren't just adapted versions of the girls' classes. It's also really good having male coaches who are excellent role models. Nice facility, great teachers, small classes.
Your first barre class at Above the Barre Dance & Gymnastics
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
