From the reviews
This studio’s atmosphere is friendly and calming, and the small classes allow for attention and support. The instructors are kind, knowledgeable, and make sure you feel confident. I was nervous about using the reformer, but the owner/instructor was so patient walking me through every step during my first class.
I am not knew to the struggle of making myself workout. Once I quit being able to run I lost my passion in fitness. I decided to try the free first class deal. It kicked my butt and I loved it! It was minimal range of motion strategically combined with other moving parts of the body simultaneously.
I didn't know what I was getting into when I took my first class at WISEBarre. That's all it took for me to get hooked. I love all the classes, even the ones that have me wishing I was somewhere else right then! (hello spin class). But I love Barre, Pilates, Strengthen/Core and even Spin. It's growing on me.
You can tell the passion and detail put into this studio! They offer Pilates, Reformer, Barre, Cycle, and the most fun of all, you will be challenged! The studio feels so welcoming, even as a beginner in Reformer and Pilates but Amanda does not make you feel dumb.
Your first barre class at WISEBarre & Pilates Studio LLC
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
