From the reviews
I’ve been going to Turning Point fitness for several years and it’s been the best workout I’ve ever had. This is a Pilates studio; it’s not a gym and it’s NOT the other Pilates studios where they offer strictly group classes.
I have been a client of Turning Point Fitness for over 10 years. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and take a sincere interest in your fitness both mind and body. I love the family like atmosphere where they pair a great workout with a lot of FUN!
Lisa and the team at Turning Point Fitness provide a great environment for furthering my understanding of the pilates methodology. I have been taking here for more than seven years, and now I am in the process if becoming a certified instructor. Lisa helped find my passion for pilates and fitness in general.
I love Pilates, and the strength and flexibility it’s given my body. The classes are fun and Lisa offers a variety of options for the different levels of students. I love it here and look forward to every class!
Your first barre class at Turning Point Fitness
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
