From the reviews

After walking in, the environment is so welcoming! Everyone (attendees and employees) were so kind and helpful! This was my first hot yoga class and the cool lavender towel at the end sealed the deal for me! The atmosphere was great! I can't wait to take my next class!

I had an impromptu visit to your place on March 6 while I was in town for a meeting. I had some time to play with before getting on the road to Harrisburg. I stumbled across The Salt Barre and was immediately welcomed inside. Within minutes I was offered time in the salt room.

I’ve signed up for their 30 classes for 39$ and have been to at least 5 classes - a variety of yoga and Pilates and even an accidental bar sculpt (I got the rooms mixed up one day and took the last 30 mins of a very intense cardio class lol) and LOVE LOVE LOVE it here.

I started out as a client. I loved it so much, I got my certifications so I could teach. I love the atmosphere, I love the support, the classes. It’s a true community. I take classes as well as teach. Also, I love the Salt Room, it’s great for clearing my head and chest, especially during cold & sinus seasons.

Your first barre class at The Salt Barre

New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.

Barre is low-impact, so it suits most bodies and fitness levels — but if you're pregnant or working around an injury, check with a doctor and let your instructor know so they can offer modifications.
