From the reviews
A great workout! Challenging, but doable, with excellent leaders who keep it fun, interesting, and within reach (giving easy modifiers to amp the exercises up or down).
Barre offers an amazing full-body workout, blending ballet, yoga, Pilates, and cardio. It sculpts and tones with high-repetition, low-impact movements, boosting strength, flexibility, and posture. Expect to feel empowered and gracefully challenged
I absolutely LOVE it!! I had never attended a Barre class before but I didn’t feel intimidated at all. Everyone made me feel welcome and the instructor showed me how to do the exercises I was unsure of. I can’t wait to go back.
Absolutely enjoying the variety of classes and instructors at this amazing studio! What a great workout environment and love all of the class options and times! Highly recommend!
Your first barre class at The Barre A Fitness Boutique
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
