Getting back into going to a gym is uncomfortable. Space three has been exactly what I’ve been looking for since having kids and needing more accountability to get to feeling better. The instructors are so knowledgeable in many areas of health and always make the time to answer questions or just see how you are doing.
I can't say enough good things about Space Three. It is one of the most welcoming and empowering gym spaces I have ever been in. The instructors all take time to learn your name and help you progress in the way that's best for you.
I absolutely love Space Three! When I first started coming, the owners Lisa and Lindsey made a point to greet me and make me feel so welcomed😊 My absolute favorite class is Barre Bounce. All the classes offer modifications to make the moves easier/harder so really anyone can do them!
I absolutely love working out at Space Three! I really enjoy the variety of classes offered – I have been a member for a year or so and I'm never bored. The instructors are professional and always offer modifications for every participant. I never regret coming to a class, that's for sure!
Your first barre class at Space Three
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
