From the reviews
I have been attending the Tuesday and Thursday classes with Susan for almost a month now. This class was exactly what I was looking for and what my body needed. I was hesistant to join initially thinking the studio was only intended for women.
Michelle and the extended Sol Barre team are amazing. I moved to PS from LA a few years ago and have been looking for a new studio for quite some time. I'm so glad I found Sol Barre. I started with group classes which are great and have a lot of variety, and slowly moved into privates which have been wonderful for me.
Just took my first Barre Class with Michelle. It’s been years since I have stepped into a Barre Class and boy do I remember how good it burns now! We addressed all the body, arms, back, legs, booty, and abs. The studio is beautiful and super clean. The music was upbeat and Michelle is such a strong teacher.
currently doing the unlimited 2 week trial, I’ve booked myself morning and nights at Sol Barre everyday for 14 days- never done barre before so this has been super challenging but in the best way!
Your first barre class at SŌL BARRE
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
