From the reviews
Raise the Barre has been an amazing escape for my daughters during the past year! The studio was organized and founded in 2020 during the pandemic (talk about chutzpah!) My girls have been participating in classes every week since it opened.
An absolutely fantastic dance studio. I have taken several classes here and have loved everyone. Got my hip hop on from Platinum J and now I think I could be a Tiktok star and the barre classes I have taken made me love that form of exercise. The best thing about this studio is that there is something for everyone!
We absolutely love Raise The Barre!! My daughter loves going to her classes. They also have so many other options for the rest of our family including the adults!! It’s always clean and the teachers and owners are extremely helpful and friendly.
This studio has it all and these women are serving the county's children and families in a time of need. I can't say enough positive things about these owners, teachers and this studio. My daughter loves Raise the Barre!
Your first barre class at Raise The Barre - Studio of Dance
New to barre? Almost everyone is their first time, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: barre blends small isometric holds and tiny pulses at a ballet barre with light weights and mat work — it's low-impact and joint-friendly, but it works muscles you didn't know you had, so a little shaking in your legs is the point, not a problem. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: fitted leggings and a top you can move in — nothing baggy, so the instructor can see your form. Grip socks: most barre studios require grip socks — bring a pair or check whether they sell them at the front desk; the grippy soles keep you steady during the pulses. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
